# Web3 as promised

Web3 was a true sentence with a stupid unit.

The sentence: keys on your box, no landlord, settlement without a priest, coordination that is not a company database.

The unit they shipped: a farmable number. Then they charged gas to worship it. Every instrument had to speak bag. Governance became who held the bag. “Work” became who could print the bag. That is why it failed. The cryptography was fine. The meter was a casino chip.

This repo does the sentence.

- The atom is a **loop**, not a swap. `OPEN → DONE → CONFIRM`. Later `BURN` is a new vertex. The DAG does not edit.
- Two boxes, signed vertices, other edge countersigns. No gas.
- Standing does not transfer. It does not cash out. A spark can die in a sale. Votes are not a wallet.
- Identity is a key on the laptop, not a seed phrase that is also a hedge fund.

Two processes, one loop, one burn. Then put `HOST=0.0.0.0` on a real box and point `PEER=` at the other house. README in `packages/mesh`.
